Every month on the day of the new moon, the energies in our world open to receive new seeds. For centuries farmers used these cycles for planting crops and we can use this same potent energy for stating and affirming our dreams and goals. This is a power time for everyone, if they care to use it. However, it works best when we align with the astrological sign of the new moon in question... and January’s new moon is in CAPRICORN!
The energies of Capricorn are earthy and powerful. Most importantly, because the planet Pluto is currently in Capricorn, you will find yourself also thinking about spiritual growth. To align with this new moon include wishes concerning: future security: responsibility, goals, success, recognition, management skills, the release of controlling tendencies.
An example might be: “I want to easily find myself successfully taking charge in all areas of my life... I want to receive and gift respect, recognition and support... I want to be shown or guided to the right retirement plan or savings plan for my later years." Work within these guidelines to create your own moon wish and watch your life change for the better.
Ideally we make our wishes before the actual new moon, but any time within twenty four hours of this new moon will still ensure new seeds are planted in your life.
The new moon occurs on the 9th or 10th of January, depending on your location in the world.
The seeds we plant today will come to fruition by the full moon, two weeks later. The next new moon is the Aquarius new moon which also marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year... the year of the fire or red Monkey!
More on that in the next edition.
